This is episode 277, and I'm talking about how you don't need another tactic. You just need to start leaving yourself. Welcome to the Content Queen Podcast. I'll also be joined by amazing souls and entrepreneurs who are here to share their own journey, along with actual steps to help you take your business to a whole new level through amazing storytelling, powerful and marketing and content strategy.

Let's do it. Hello, gang. How are we feeling? And how are you? Because I wanna take you back six months, maybe nearly 12 months. Actually 12 months ago, and I was feeling quite stuck and I felt like I loved my business, I loved what I was doing, but I wasn't really resonating with what I was putting out there into the world.

I was comparing myself and I just felt like, you know, do I know what the hell I'm doing? What? Like, yeah, what am I doing? Do I know what I'm doing? And I, there was so much like. Limiting beliefs and self-doubt and all those things that come up when you're sort of in that hole of not truly believing in yourself.

And it was really hard because I feel like this is the stuff that don't teach you when you start a business. They can teach you, find your target audience, find your product, but even, but you could do all that and then you go and put it out there in the world and then you get people. Asking questions or you start selling things and then you're like, oh shit.

Like I have to really believe in myself and what I do to get to that next level. And that was kind of where I was at. And my amazing mentor, Tandra sort of said, you're kind of at this period between one vision and another. So you feel that, and I think that's when you really take on a lot of that.

Self-worth stuff and self-doubt because you're in this holding pattern. Now. What has this got to do with marketing? As I was going through this journey, I started to realize that when we want results from our marketing or when we wanna track the right people, when we want to show up and get those views so that we can build a community, whatever that looks like.

You can have the strategy and the strategy is so, so important. But without that mindset piece, it really doesn't matter because if you don't have that belief, you don't truly believe in what you do and who you are, it's gonna flop. And I see this and I see it on the other end of like, clients that just know what they do is amazing and it just works.

And you could put the same strategy in with the exact same business. And if they don't believe in themselves. It's not gonna work out. And I saw this in a marketer that I was following. She talked about this, how, yeah, she had the agency and she was making good money, but there was just something stopping her from that next level.

And it wasn't more Facebook ads, it wasn't a different coach. It was, well possibly a different coach in the eyes of mindset, but it was really just working on herself. So if you are in this position and you're like. I feel like my content for my business, my social media, my marketing, the things that are public facing to the people, blogs, podcasts, any, any marketing you're doing where people are seeing you and you feel like it's not quite landing.

Maybe it's not another tactic. Maybe it's not removing the hashtags or trying a trending audio. Maybe it's just a pure belief in it. And it might be just a different, like one element of your business. It could be your belief in Instagram or your belief in LinkedIn, or your belief that your voice is worthy of a podcast.

Like it might not be your whole puzzle of content or marketing. It could just be one element that you have this belief, this limiting belief. I've seen this in so many clients. Clients that go, oh. LinkedIn. I hate it. I don't like it. So, uh, just repurpose stuff onto it. And then when they start to see the power of LinkedIn, they change their belief in that platform.

They see the results. So it might not even be a belief in yourself. It could be in the belief, in the tools. Another example is a client with Instagram was like, oh no, Instagram's just not working for me. And then we have this marketing data expert come in and look at all the things and say, oh, well actually you are getting some traffic for Instagram.

It's worth, you know. Putting a bit more energy into it. So she started, we had content on there. Obviously she started doing the engagement side of things and kind of going on it more because she felt like she, every time she scrolled, she just felt that ick and she didn't wanna scroll it. And she goes, oh, okay, maybe.

So she starts going on it and then she finds things she likes in the platform. And then we're seeing, I think it was like 133% growth on Instagram traffic. So. It might not be that belief in yourself. You might go, you know what? I don't resonate with that. 'cause I think I'm amazing, and I love that. It could be the belief in the platforms you're using.

So what does that mean? It could mean that you need to find another platform or you find something in that platform that you like, or maybe it's the content. So start observing from this episode. What's coming up for you? And where the tweaks could be because it might not be that you need to remove hashtags or find some different trending audio.

Or it could be you need to try a different style of video. It could be that you need to be using that channel in a different way, but it's not necessarily gonna be the tactic. That's going to help you grow if you are at that standpoint, like if you're at that crossroads between next level growth in your business and staying still.

And I truly felt that. And then what happened was, it wasn't about the numbers, it was about creating stuff that I really aligned to. So obviously I sat down and I created a bit more of a plan that would work and resonate for me and my business, a different content strategy. 'cause that was really important.

But then I did something else and I did the work. So I wanna share, we have some amazing podcasts episodes with guests that I would so encourage you to listen to. So I just wanna share some of them because I think they're so valuable. There's so many, but these are kind of in the last like year, and one of them was from two years ago.

And these are the people that have really helped me as well. That's why I got them on the podcast. Right? And I'm not gonna sit here and talk about mindset. Or those sorts of things. 'cause that's not my expertise. I'm here to help you with your marketing and your content. But if you're finding that you are at this level where you're doing the thing, but you're not getting that result that you want, or you don't feel good about it, then maybe it's worth checking in.

So trust is the first thing I think. And this can be trust in self and trust in the platform, or trust in the marketing plan. So that, but if you're not trusting the marketing plan, is it because you're not trusting yourself? So there's two episodes that we had that I think embody trust really well and will get you thinking about trusting yourself and trusting the process.

And that's episode 172. So like a hundred episodes ago we had Leticia Andrea, who talks about intuition in business and how really checking in with self and connecting with intuition is so important. So thinking about the vision of your business, like what does that look like? And are you finding someone else to do it?

Are you looking externally for the answer rather than going internally using your intuition? So that is a perfect podcast. If you're like, you know what, do need to trust myself more, how. Intuition is amazing, so you should learn more about it, and I'll put all of these episodes in the show notes. And then the second one is feeling the fear and posting.

Anyway. So if you, you are the type of person where you're like, I don't trust myself to post quote unquote good quality content for my social media, or a good podcast or a good blog, then there could be some kind of fear around that. And in fear the fear, feel the fear and do it anyway. With Jess, she.

Really talks about this and the process, the five step process to help you feel fear. Because it's not about avoiding fear, it's about feeling it and doing it. You know, if you fear making mistakes, sh sharing something vulnerable or asking something via your marketing, asking questions or for people to do something selling, basically, if that is something you really struggle with, Jess will be the person for you.

So again, it'll be in the show notes. So that's trust, like. Really being able to trust yourself and trusting the process is so important in this journey, and it was something that I had to really tap into when I was sort of feeling this level of stuckness last year. And the second one is like finding modalities.

So at the time I was like, okay, I, I feel like I need some more support. What does that look like? And I'd had Zoe on the podcast and I'd also had Gabby on the podcast talking about ERT. So this is emotional release technique and it really helps with releasing beliefs, releasing. So if you don't have a belief in something, if you don't believe in yourself, or you don't believe in the process of showing up for your business.

Then looking at modalities that will help you release that. There's so many, like obviously hypnosis, reiki depends on, you know, what you believe in and what you wanna explore. But I found ERT really powerful, so it was something that I did some practical. Lessons in or sessions, and that really helped me release a lot of this comparison and these subconscious beliefs that have nothing to do with creating content, nothing to do with marketing, things from childhood and all that stuff.

Again, not the professional, just sharing my lived experience, but that was the stuff that really helped me clear a lot of things to then be able to show up. More authentically. So episode 233 with Gabby is all about that introduction to the subconscious mind and what could be holding you back, not just from showing up online, but to really believe in yourself.

Or really, you might be like, but I am showing up online. But maybe there is that block that's not getting you to that next level. And then we had Zoe talk about how to show up and feel authentic online. And this is where, you know, you might be like, well, I am showing up. But obviously you're missing that authenticity to really push to that next level.

And for your audience to see that, like you mean business, you are here, you trust yourself, you have the confidence. So those two episodes are really good. If you do wanna learn about the modality that I decided to use last year, obviously there's so many I've used over the years, but that was just one I decided to go down.

Last year and it helped me so much, like even with other things that have nothing to do with business, um, it was really powerful in clearing a lot of limiting beliefs and blocks. So I feel like, oh, I think I'm really struggling with that stuff that I can't see. Like I feel like I just don't know what the missing link is.

That is perfect. And the third one is really this energy, like putting energy into something or showing up with energy and really. All the things, you know, having that energy to believe in yourself, to have confidence to even be in this state where you go, oh, I'm performing at my best, or I'm at my best, therefore I can show up for my business.

So the first episode for this, which is 2 5 2, is how flow can help you create content in your business with Alex. And really flow state or being in flow can really help you achieve your goals, right? So being in flow and when you create from flow, when you are, that's when you are at like you're confident.

People can see that. It's like when people are on stage and you're like. This, that person's on a whole other level, they're probably in flow state. So being able to, and it's more than just getting yourself into flow state. There's so much mindset behind this, and Alex is amazing at doing that and talks about this in the podcast, but really it can get you to look at your marketing with that lens of rather than chasing the result, what can I learn from the process to grow my business?

Rather than always going like, I need to be here. How can we enjoy the journey? You know, happiness is a journey, not a destination is a very great quote. I love that one. But being able to learn about flow and being in flow and working on that mindset to get yourself into flow, that is something that I think we all need more of in our lives, and it's something that I'm working on right now to be fair.

And then two, five. Four was with Sida, talking about putting energy into content. So. You know, it's like you can't cook with love. Like if you cook with love, maybe the food doesn't taste great. Same with when you put things out there into the world, if there's no energy or love, it's not gonna have that impact.

So you might be at the moment like, oh, I'm just creating for the sake of it 'cause I'm in this real lull. Then let's look at the mindset work to then get that energy back. So when you are showing up, people can really feel that energy because if you are saying, oh well. I'm not really getting the quote unquote results that I want.

It could be because of the energy you're putting into it as well. So maybe this has been a mic drop moment for you. Mic drop moment. Aha. Moment for you where you're like. Ah, actually it's not the marketing, it's not the strategy, it's not the tactic. It's actually me and not from a bad thing. Like I just need to believe in myself more because as I said at the start, I've seen this in clients and I put this in a marketing group and a lot of the marketers are like, oh my God.

It's so true when someone has true belief in what they do themselves and they have confidence in the process, so they truly believe that that is gonna work for them no matter what. Obviously with tweaks and changes and being not just sitting with something and doing it because you believe one day it'll work, like actually making tweaks and changes as you go.

That are the they. Those are the people that get the results. Those are the people that we see. Yeah, have leads come through social media, have website traffic come through social media, grow an audience, like an aligned audience that they need, not just followers for the sake of followers and not just viral content.

That means nothing, like actually have the impact that they want on these channels. So that was the focus that I took. And in the end, I did have a few health things. I had a thyroid issue, which was causing quite a lot of anxiety, but I just went back to the drawing board and was like, it's not this, it's me, but I need to make change.

Gotta do something. So I know this is different to my usual episode, but we have some great podcast episodes. We have 277 episodes and I haven't had a guest for a while. As you have probably noticed, we have some, a bank of guests coming up. I was just with the traveling and stuff. Couldn't get it to work with, um, calendar schedules, but I will have more guests on.

I know you might be sick of just hearing from me, but, um, it's been really nice just to hang out with you all. Just you and I, but. I'm taking you through this experience because I've been there. I'm still going through it, and I think mindset is the hardest thing to work on, but I think taking a step back and trying to focus a little bit more on yourself.

Will help your business. There's, it's not going to have a detriment to your business. So if you are chasing new courses and, um, business things, you know, buying that $20 template pack or whatever that looks like and not actually doing the work on yourself, I think that's the missing link. And of course, like.

I'm not sharing this any benefit to me, but to help and share my experience with you, because I've been there, I'm still going through it. I think there's a lot of, I'm working with mindset coaches and all sorts of things all the time, and I think it is an ever evolving journey. It's not like you snap your fingers and one day you're just this like complete, you know, confident out there person.

You know, it takes a long time and, and a lot of work, but. It could be the missing link for you.
