I have one I want to share below and wonder if it resonates. I have thought about how we have these “categories” and the type of content we create to help us reach business and marketing objectives.
I came up with 3 “personas” or styles and I am looking for feedback!

This is episode 274, and I'm talking about these three types of content creators that as small business owners you might resonate with, and it might support you in your content journey. Welcome to the Content Queen Podcast. I'm your host, Mariah, entrepreneur storyteller, digital nomad, creator of Content Bootcamp, and founder of Content Queen.

Let's do it. Hello gang. Alright, so picture this, I've been consuming content. I love looking at content on TikTok, and there's one thing that interests me. So anyway, I usually have a shower at night, and after a day of working, I have my shower, and then this idea comes to me and then I start thinking about it and I start stewing on it and start putting things together.
I go to bed and Mitch's already asleep because he's a sleepy guy and sometimes falls asleep before I finish my shower. So I go to sleep and I wake up the next day and I sort of kind of forgot about it, and then all of a sudden, oh, that idea come to my head. So I wanna share that with you today and wonder if it resonates.
I believe there are three sort of personas of style content. Doesn't matter if you're a business owner, entrepreneur, content creator. I feel like there are potentially one of the three or multiple of the three that maybe will resonate with you more. And I'm keen to hear your thoughts. So the first video that caught my attention was talking about curation, curating information, and delivering it to an audience.
For example, if you are a Melbourne restaurant and you were creating content, you might not just create content about restaurants and food. You might create content about Melbourne travel topics that your interest, your audience would be interested in creating some type of culture. So you'd be curating all this content to create something that's quite unique.
Now, curators are nothing new. There's been curators around for ages and there's different types of content styles. So what I'm gonna share with you, you may have heard from the fir for the first time, but it is pulling things together that we've all been doing, and I'm just putting a label on it. So you just have to scroll social media to see social media accounts, creating curation, the newest trends and updates of Instagram.
So they sort of become a resource hub. So then when I was thinking in the shower, I'm like, well, there's different types of content creation, right? We form different styles depending on what idea has come to us or what we are trying to do. So I think there's three. And I'm gonna go through them today. The first one is creator, so you share more new ideas, but let's be real.
Nothing is really new, but this is where it comes from. Pure inspiration and creativity. New concepts, ideas, thoughts. This is sort of thought leadership stuff. If you were to think about it, when we are thinking of types of content with a marketing funnel, it would be the top, top of funnel sparking thoughts in your audience.
Then we have number two, which is curator. You curate information and you share it with your audience so you could curate things that resonate with you. And make up your brand. So for example, if you were that Melbourne restaurant, it could be multiple different things about Melbourne or travel, or it could be taking concepts and ideas that you've learned, bundling them together and delivering 'em to your audience.
So you become almost like a resource hub. You can curate things from your industry and bring it to your audience or curate out things outside of your industry and deliver them. It's not necessarily new content, it's gathering information. So if we're thinking about a marketing funnel, this would be the middle of the funnel, building that trust, being seen as a thought leader, an expert.
And then the third one is influencer. You look to change minds, share thoughts and opinions, so you influence the mind of your audience in some way. And know, I'm not talking about use my code Mariah 10 for money off. I'm talking about generally trying to get your audience to think differently or to spark interest, right?
You can't always change people's minds, but you wanna try and influence their thoughts. If we were thinking about this, this would be the bottom of the funnel, right? Potentially getting people to buy. Or take action.
You could resonate with all three. And to be fair, they could all be used when looking at marketing objectives. But whilst yes, I see it as a way to connect with the funnel, I just wanted to share that with you and see if there was one that resonated particularly with you. So you can share it in the poll.

For me, I fi feel I curate a lot. So things I've read, things I'm looking and I bring them together. But I do try to influence, I try to get people to see the way of marketing content that I, how I see it. But right now, this podcast is creating 'cause I'm creating a new concept or theme with, and even though it's nothing new, I'm taking things.
That I've seen and creating something of my own. So creator, curator, or influencer. And as I said, you may step into a certain type of creator depending on what you're trying to do in your business, but when I looked at all my clients, I could easily go, oh yeah, this client is more of this and this client is more of that, and this is how we could be seen in our industry.
